Welcome to Moline Kendo

Kendo martial arts photography

Kendo is the art of Japanese fencing. Through exhilarating and demanding training, members follow the way of the sword as a path through life.

Over the last three decades and into present day, Moline Kendo has aimed to perpetuate and teach traditional Japanese kendo along the guidelines established by the All United States Kendo Federation (AUSKF) and the International Kendo Federation (FIK), which emphasizes the importance of form and dedication. Beginners are provided with a strong foundation in several kendo fundamentals such as footwork, posture, and spirit.

If you are interested in seeing what the martial art of kendo is all about, everyone is welcome to try it out. Kendo is a great workout and you will learn Japanese etiquette and the history of the samurai arts. Beginners are encouraged to visit.

The Moline Kendo Club is a member of the Midwest Kendo Federation (MWKF) and All United States Kendo Federation (AUSKF).
